Midlands, B70 0JE, has made a disposal on 7th March 2001 of 250,000 Inchcape Plc
ord shares.

Our client now holds in total 8,650,000 ordinary shares which represents 9.79%
of the issued share capital. The registered holder of the shares is Brewin
Nominees Limited.
