Disclosure under Section 198 Companies Act 1985 ('The Act')

I write to inform you, that our client I.M. Group Limited of Ryder Street, West
Midlands, B70 0JE, and its associate, Christian Vision have sold a total of
1,150,000 Inchcape Plc ordinary shares.

I.M. Group now holds 7,500,000 ordinary shares which represents 8.52% of the
issued share capital.  The registered holder of the shares is Brewin Nominees
Limited.  Christian Vision is no longer a holder.
