Inchcape wins contract for fleet management and remarketing of Fiat and Alfa
Romeo used vehicles

Inchcape, the international automotive services group, has today announced an
agreement to handle remarketing and fleet management activities for Fiat Auto
UK's entire fleet of used vehicles for the next three years. The agreement
will provide Fiat Auto UK with the most advanced vehicle remarketing operation
in Europe.

The contract, which will be managed by Inchcape Business Services,
incorporates vehicle remarketing, refurbishment and logistics. 

Inchcape's vehicle refurbishment and logistics specialist Eurofleet, will
manage  pre-delivery inspection, transportation, vehicle refurbishment and
storage.

AutoCascade, the vehicle remarketing company jointly owned by Inchcape and
Avis Europe, will electronically remarket vehicles to dealers via a
web-enabled dealer stock locator and twice weekly electronic auctions. 
AutoCascade has built a new state of the art electronic remarketing system,
allowing Fiat and Alfa Romeo dealers to exclusively purchase vehicles online.

Jim Blades, Fiat Auto UK's Managing Director, believes this move is an
important development of Fiat Auto UK's vehicle remarketing activity. He
commented: 'The partnership between Fiat Auto UK and Inchcape will greatly
enhance profit opportunities for all Fiat and Alfa Romeo Approved Used car
dealers. We are confident that these developments will allow Fiat Auto UK and
its approved used car dealers to jointly offer our products to a wider retail
audience. In addition we will be using the most up to date technology to
remarket our stock to the dealer network.'

manufacturers, rental and leasing companies with a significantly improved
method of selling pre-owned vehicles, reducing time and costs involved in
remarketing for vehicle providers, and offering more effective nearly new car
sourcing for dealers and end customers.
