Informa Group Buys Dutch Training Company for an Initial Consideration of £5
million
Informa Group Plc has acquired, through Euroforum International BV, its Dutch
conferences and training business, Opleinding en Ontwikkeling Breda BV and
Select Seminars BV (together 'O & O' or 'the Companies').
The Companies provide professional training courses in management, finance and
IT, run in association with Universities in Holland and Belgium.
The initial consideration is £5.0 million (Dfl18 million) payable in cash.
Additional amounts are payable over a five year period, based on the results
of the Companies. The maximum total consideration is capped at £27 million
(Dfl100 million).
In the year to 31 August 1999, O & O made operating profits of £1.6 million on
revenues of £3.3 million. Net assets were £1.4 million.
It is expected that expansion of the O & O business model aligned with the
management, marketing and database resources of Euroforum will provide
substantial growth opportunities.
