T&F Informa plc
AGM Chairman's Statement
14 July 2004
At today's AGM of T&F Informa plc, the Group's Chairman David Smith will say:
'Following the merger between Taylor & Francis and Informa which became
effective on 10 May, the enlarged Group has continued to trade in line with
Board expectations and we anticipate a satisfactory trading outcome for the
year.
Integration work is proceeding smoothly and to plan with a number of internal
teams working on opportunities to enhance revenues and also save costs. Initial
results are encouraging and we will provide an update on progress with the
Interim results announcement in September.
In addition, the integration of the CRC Press, MMS, PJB Publications and Marcel
Dekker acquisitions is proceeding according to plan.
We are pleased with the progress made to date and the reaction to the merger.
The new Group is ideally positioned to take full advantage of its broad product
portfolio and the wide range of markets in which it operates'.
