Informa Group plc gives notice that HSBC Trustee (Jersey) Ltd, the trustee of an
employee share trust established by the company for the purposes of incentive
plans for employees (including directors) has made a market purchase of the
following Informa Group plc 10 pence ordinary shares:

8 March 2001     45000 ordinary shares at 605.5556 pence
9 March 2001    182257 ordinary shares at 610 pence

These purchases were made to meet requirements of the trustee in relation to
options awarded under the Informa Group Discretionary Share Option Scheme.

No additional interests arise on the part of the directors by reason of these
purchases.  Notification in respect of these purchases were received by the
company on 8 and 9 March 2001 respectively.
