INFORMA GROUP PLC - Directors' Shareholdings

Informa Group PLC gives notice that HSBC Trustees (Jersey) Ltd, the trustee to
an Employee Benefit Trust established by the Company for the purposes of
Incentive Plans for Employees (including Directors) has made a market purchase
of the following Informa Group Plc ordinary shares:

21 October 1999     39974 ordinary shares @ 413p

This purchase was made to meet requirements of the Trustee in relation to
options already awarded under the Informa Group Discretionary Option Plan.

No additional interest arise on the part of the Directors by reason of these
purchases.

Notification in respect of this purchase was received by the Company on 21st
October 1999.
