Informa Group plc gives notice that it has on 20 March 2000 allotted 401,977
ordinary shares to Informa QUEST Limited as trustee of the Informa Qualifying
Share Trust at 790p per share.

The allotment was made in response to an application received from the Trustee
of the Informa Quest to meet requirements of the Trustee in relation to options
already awarded under Savings Related Option schemes operated by the group.

No additional beneficial interests arise on the part of Directors by reason of
this allotment.  Mr. J H Wilkinson has a non-beneficial interest by virtue of
his position as a director of Informa Quest Limited.
