Another Record Year for Informa Group's 2001 '3GSM World Congress'


Informa Group plc announces that a one day Investor Relations trip to the
company's flagship 3GSM World Conference in Cannes, France takes place today.
Chairman, Peter Rigby and Finance Director, Jim Wilkinson will accompany a
group of research analysts and shareholders on the trip.

The 2001 3GSM World Congress once again demonstrated it is the annual
gathering of the 3GSM industry with total attendance up from 15,500 to 24,000.

The continued increase in the number of conference delegates continued in 2001
with the number up to 7,200, a 31% increase on 2000.

The world's largest 3GSM specific exhibition also continued to grow in 2001,
with over 22,000 square metres of exhibitions and 468 exhibitors compared to
276 in 2000 (a 70% increase). The number of exhibition attendees increased
from 9,000 in 2000 to 16,800 this year.
