AGM Statement and Trading Update
Infoserve Group plc (AIM:INFS), a leading online local search marketing
specialist, will be holding its Annual General Meeting today at 11.00 am.
James Newman, Chairman will provide the following trading update:
'The new multi-year contract with Yahoo! to sell sponsored display links on
Yahoo! Local's results pages commenced in May 2007. This new product offering
has been well received by our core SME customers and in the expanding local
search marketplace.
The Company raised £2 million by way of a placing in June 2007 in order to
recruit and train additional sales executives to capitalise on the Yahoo!
contract. We are pleased with the progress to date in strengthening our sales
team.
Overall, the business is performing in line with expectations. The Board
remains confident that the Yahoo! contract and our other strategic relationships
with global media companies will support continuing growth in the current
financial year. '

Infoserve (AIM: INFS) is a leading online local search marketing specialist. The
Company was founded in 1999 with the vision of bringing buyers and sellers
together through online searches by combining detailed and accurate information
for a specific business sector or goods and services within a particular
location - or 'local search'.
Infoserve has a database of 3.5 million business records, which are listed
across a network of 280 websites and over 20,000 paying customers consisting
mainly of SMEs.
The network includes a portfolio of wholly owned business directories, such as
infoserve.com, and cityvisitor.co.uk, as well as specific industry websites such
as accountantlocal.co.uk and getmeadentistist.co.uk. The Company also provides
white label local search functions to a number of major online partners,
including a Media Partner Network with customers such as The Daily Telegraph,
The Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. Other partners include a local search
service for Sky digital TV and Football League official club sites.
Collectively, these sites receive 34 million visitors per month.
In March 2007, the Company signed a multi-year deal with Yahoo! to become the
official Yahoo! Local advertising sales partner for the UK.
Headquartered in Leeds, the Company employs 200 staff and is listed on the AIM
market.
