Intec wins Swisscom Mobile billing contract
Reinforces Intec marketshare in Switzerland
Prepares Swisscom Mobile for future UMTS and next generation billing
February 19th, 2001 -Intec Telecom Systems today announced the signing of an
InterconnecT billing agreement with Swisscom Mobile, worth in excess of one
million pounds sterling (E1.67m). The billing system is expected to go into
production by April 2002.
Intec's CEO, Kevin Adams said: 'We are extremely pleased with this deal, which
secures our market share in Switzerland. Intec has already developed an
excellent long term relationship with Swisscom as its supplier of InterconnecT
software, and we will work towards achieving the same level of success with
Swisscom Mobile as it prepares for the future demands of UMTS and 3G
technology.'
InterconnecT is the market leader in intercarrier billing, allowing operators to
accurately charge other inter-exchange and local exchange carriers for using its
facilities. The solution provides superior scalability to also deal with an
increase in network traffic, while minimising operational overhead in settling
with other carriers.
