TA Orange implements Intec service activation and mediation solutions in record
time
• Latest contract marks Intec's fifth deal for service activation in less
than 12 months
London, October 26, 2004 - Intec, a global provider of business and operations
support systems (BSS/OSS), announced today the successful implementation of
Intec's service and subscriber activation solution, Inter-activatETM, and
multi-service mediation solution, Inter-mediatETM, at Thailand's TA Orange. The
activation solution was deployed in less than six weeks into TA Orange's
existing infrastructure without disrupting operations to its 2.7 million
subscribers. The deal also further establishes Inter-mediatE's position as the
mediation platform of choice for mobile operators, with installations in many of
the world's best known 3G, GSM and CDMA carriers.
TA Orange found its growth in subscribers and services impeded by its legacy
systems. To cope with exploding subscriber growth and demand for services such
as MMS and content, TA Orange required an OSS that would ensure efficient high
volume activation of customers and services along with the accurate collection
of its event records. This in turn provides the rapid time to revenue for new
services and assured revenue capabilities critical in today's competitive
market.
Specifically designed to enable operators to consolidate legacy activation
systems in large and small operators by allowing the activation of any
combination of fixed, wireless, IP and advanced communications services from a
single application, Inter-activatE is quickly gaining market share and mindshare
among Intec's global customer base of Tier 1 operators. This contract with TA
Orange is Intec's fifth for service activation in the last year.
"The combined solution provides TA Orange with a robust system for adding and
managing new revenue generating services. Inter-activatE not only supports our
subscriber volumes, it also allows us to quickly deploy new services and
configure new network elements for our content service rollout," said Mr.
Bunjert Thungvarathum, Head of Customer Care & Billing Support at TA Orange. "
With its multi-service mediation capabilities, Inter-mediatE captures all the
relevant data from both our voice and IP domains, adapting seamlessly to TA
Orange's content offerings."
"This implementation at TA Orange is a major achievement for Intec in the
service activation space, and underscores the strength of Inter-activatE as a
Tier 1 activation platform, while validating the company's position as a key
player in the service activation market," said Intec CEO Kevin Adams. "Intec is
already renowned as the market leader in multi-service mediation solutions and
this contract with TA Orange illustrates Intec's position as the solution
provider of choice for major mobile operators."
