INTERCEDE GROUP PLC
('Intercede')
Intercede and NetMorf Partners to Provide Enhanced Security Measures
for Mobile Applications
Partnership Extends Intercede's Security Management System to NetMorf's Mobile
Applications
Intercede, the UK's leading developer and supplier of security management
solutions for computers, networks, and software applications, has signed a
technology partnership with NetMorf, the Boston based mobile business
(m-business) platform provider. The objective of the partnership is to provide
enhanced validation and security measures for mobile applications. The
integration of Intercede's proprietary software edifice into NetMorf's
SiteMorfertm m-business software platform enables new applications to be
designed which prevent unauthorized users from accessing personal, business,
restricted or highly confidential information. NetMorf's customers will
benefit from enhanced security services and the development of applications
with greater user identification capabilities and increased personalization.
Using Intercede's edefice product suite, users of various mobile devices can
be provided with a range of security services within NetMorf's m-commerce
business application server. This enables enterprise and consumer e-business
applications to be designed to allow partners, suppliers and customers to
conduct secure transactions with a token or smartcard, directly from any
mobile device.
Through the partnership with Intercede, mobile applications provided to
NetMorf's customers can now offer world class security, for business, consumer
or government uses. For mobile users seeking to access email, customer account
records or confidential information, companies are automatically protected
from unauthorized access if a device is lost or stolen.
Richard Parris, Chairman and Chief Executive of Intercede, said:
'Through our partnership with NetMorf, Intercede will have the opportunity to
extend its current security offering to m-business applications. It also
enables existing sales channels to be strengthened and new sales channels to
be developed.'
Michael Maggio, President and Chief Executive of NetMorf, said:
'Security is a critical component for today's m-business applications. Through
our work with Intercede, application and content providers can ensure that
corporate assets and confidential information are protected. By integrating
with Intercede's services, we can offer our customers increased peace of mind
when deploying mobile applications to customers, employees or business
partners.'
