Achievement of Top Industry Standard
First Customers for MyID v9
London, United Kingdom, 17 February 2011 - Intercede (London Stock Exchange AIM: IGP) is pleased to announce that the latest version (v9) of its MyID Identity and Credential Management System (IDCMS) is being used in the first Personal Identity Verification - Interoperable (PIV-I) smartcard.
The US Federal Public Key Infrastructure Policy Authority (FPKIPA), which is responsible for setting industry standards for smartcards and other forms of identity and credential management, has certified Intercede's partner Symantec Corp. as the first vendor authorised to issue PIV-I smartcards.
This is a major validation of Intercede MyID v9, as the technical standards and specifications applied by the FPKIPA to authorise the operation of a PIV-I smartcard are extremely rigorous and demanding.
Intercede is also pleased to confirm Booz Allen Hamilton and ICF International as the first customers to deploy Symantec's PIV-I smartcards, using MyID v9 for the entire end-to-end PIV identity and credential management process.

Richard Parris, Intercede's Chairman and Chief Executive, said:
"This certification reaffirms our long term market leadership, following on from our initial success in having MyID as the first Electronic Personalisation product to achieve US Federal Government accreditation.
"Our partnership with Symantec's PKI team enables the delivery of a proven solution for the new and fast growing PIV-I market. We are delighted to be delivering these solutions in partnership with them."
