InterContinental Hotels Group PLC 14 June 2007 InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Announces Patrick Imbardelli Resignation 14 June 2007 - InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) (Lon: IHG; NYSE: IHG (ADRs)), today announces that Patrick Imbardelli has resigned from his position of Chief Executive, Asia Pacific Region. This decision follows an internal review of the academic qualifications of Patrick as previously presented to the Company. The appointment of Patrick to the Board of IHG as from 1 July 2007 (previously announced on 9 May 2007) will therefore no longer proceed. An announcement regarding the permanent succession plan for Patrick's role will be made shortly. Meanwhile, IHG further announces today that Tony South, currently Senior Vice President, Development and Asset Management, Asia Pacific, becomes Acting Chief Executive of the region with immediate effect. In this role, Tony will assume full executive authority for the region and report directly to Group Chief Executive, Andrew Cosslett. A chartered accountant, Tony has over 30 years experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, joining IHG (then Bass PLC) in June 2000. Prior to his current role, he was Chief Operating Officer for IHG's Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Region. Notes to Editors 1.
