INTERMEDIATE CAPITAL GROUP PLC
AGM STATEMENT
At Intermediate Capital Group's AGM today Murray Stuart, the Chairman, made
the following statement:
'We have had an exceptionally strong start to the current financial year.
Levels of new lending have been particularly high with over £110m invested in
ten companies to date on our Balance Sheet. While the level of repayments
have also been high we believe the prospects for loan book growth are good.
In the first three months of the year we have achieved unusually high levels
of capital gains which to date amount to in excess of £40m. Shareholders
will be aware that the timing and quantum of capital gains is both irregular
and unpredictable and we cannot expect capital gains to continue at anything
like this level in the remainder of the year. Following such an excellent
start we look forward with confidence to the rest of the year.'
