INTERMEDIATE CAPITAL GROUP PLC 6.25 PER CENT. STERLING GUARANTEED NOTES DUE 2020 - CLOSE OF OFFER PERIOD
ICG plc announces that the offer period for its 6.25 per cent sterling guaranteed notes due 2020 aimed at retail investors, which began on 30 August 2012, has now closed.
Following a successful book building process ICG plc expects to issue £80 million on 19 September 2012.
Philip Keller, CFO at ICG plc, said:
"We are delighted with the response to our second retail bond, far exceeding our initial target of £50m. The issue strengthens ICG's presence in the retail bond market where we have now issued £115 million since December last year. The strong support for the offer is an indicator that this is a natural source of long term funding for the Group.
This enables ICG to maintain the strength of our balance sheet as we remain focussed on identifying attractive potential investments arising due to the dislocation in the credit markets."
Henrietta Podd, Director at Canaccord Genuity Limited added:
"ICG's second bond issue demonstrates that the retail bond market has become a material and reliable alternative source of finance for issuers, while providing investors with the scarce opportunity to earn an attractive coupon from an investment grade borrower."
