International Biotechnology Trust plc (the 'Company') was notified on 7 February
2007 that, following a purchase of 675,000 shares on 2 February 2007, The
Findlay Park American Smaller Companies Fund held a notifiable interest, through
CrestCo Limited, in 7,050,000 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company, being
14.98% of the 47,065,467 shares in issue.
