International Biotechnology Trust plc

The Board of International Biotechnology Trust plc announces that the unaudited
net asset value per share as at Friday 29th July 2005  was 124.34 pence.


The unaudited net assets as at Friday 29th July 2005 were £59.45 million which
included unquoted investments of £16.60 million and net cash of £10.97 million. 
Net cash included £5.4 million of investments that had been committed or
approved by the Investment Manager.
