Portfolio Update

The Board of International Biotechnology Trust plc (the "Company") notes the following changes to the unquoted portfolio during May. 

A follow on investment of £211k was made in Affinium.

On 11 May and 21 May the value of RespiVert was increased from £0.50m to £0.75m and then from £0.75m to £1.0m to reflect progress on the negotiations to sell the company, which culminated in today's earlier acquisition announcement.

On 27 May the value of ESBATech's remaining escrow amounts was increased from £118k to £141k to reflect the closeness of the first escrow payment which is due in September 2010.
