Portfolio Update

The issuer advises that the following replaces the portfolio update announcement released erroneously on 18 October 2011 at 17:25 under RNS Number 4187Q.

The original announcement erroneously stated that the receipt of cash changed the proportion of the portfolio invested in unquoted stock from that reported in the last factsheet, however, it should have stated that the receipt of cash changed the proportion of the net asset value invested in unquoted stock from that reported in the last fact sheet announcement.

All other details remain the same and the full corrected version of the announcement is shown below:

The Board of International Biotechnology Trust plc (the "Company") notes that the Company has received $8.6m (£5.5m) in cash from the acquisition of Cadent by Align Technology.  This receipt changes the proportion of the net asset value invested in unquoted stock from that reported in the last fact sheet announcement from 26% to 19%.
