Voting Rights and Capital

In accordance with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6,
International Biotechnology Trust plc ('the Company') announces that its issued
share capital consists of 47,065,467 ordinary shares of 25p with each share
carrying the right to one vote. The Company does not hold any shares in
treasury.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
