Chairman's AGM Statement

At the Annual General Meeting of Ideal Shopping Direct plc to be held today at 
Teather & Greenwood Limited at 12 pm, the Chairman, Jim Hodkinson, will give the 
following update on current trading:

"I am happy to report that the current year has begun well, and that sales are
still well ahead in the first quarter of 2005. Year-on-year comparisons so far
have of course continued to benefit from a first-time contribution from
Freeview, and in common with other areas of the retail market, we can expect
things to get tougher as the year progresses."
