International Personal Finance plc - Proposed board changes
International Personal Finance plc announces a change to its board proposed to take effect at its annual general meeting ('AGM') on 12 May 2010. John Lorimer is to be appointed as a non-executive director. He is currently Chairman of CAF Bank Limited, a trustee of the Charities Aid Foundation and a director of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC. He is also a trustee of the Welsh National Opera Company Limited. He previously held a number of senior positions with Citigroup and Standard Chartered Bank and has extensive experience in consumer credit and emerging markets
Ray Miles will be standing down at the AGM. He has made a significant contribution to the development of the business and we extend our thanks to him. With effect from the AGM, Tony Hales will take over the role of senior independent director currently held by Ray Miles.
Charles Gregson has agreed to extend his term for a further year from 30 June 2010 to ensure continuity and so the Company can benefit from his long experience and knowledge of the business. However, during this further term he will no longer be regarded as independent.
Information required by the Listing Rules: there is no information which is required to be disclosed in relation to John Lorimer pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13.
