Babcock & Brown Public Partnerships (BBPP) has been advised that Babcock & Brown International Pty Ltd (BBIPL) has sold its entire holding of 31,223,730 shares, or 8.33% of issued capital, in BBPP.  Of the total, 3,499,163 shares were transferred to a third party unrelated to Babcock & Brown. The remaining 27,724,567 shares were sold via a placement through Numis Securities. The placement was completed at a price of 87.50 pence per share.

The Board of BBPP expects that the sale of BBIPL's stake in BBPP should address the overhang concern that they believe has impacted the recent share price performance of BBPP.
