Placing and Offer for Subscription of C Shares at an Issue Price of 100 pence
per C Share
The Board of Babcock & Brown Public Partnerships Limited ('BBPP'), the global
public infrastructure fund, announces the results of its Placing and Offer for
Subscription of C Shares.
An aggregate of 84 million BBPP C Shares will be issued at a price of 100 pence
per C Share, of which an aggregate of 8 million C Shares will be issued in the
Offer for Subscription and 76 million C Shares in the Placing.
The Issue saw demand from both institutional and private investors. The Issue
provides the Company with additional equity capital to complete the previously
announced acquisition of a further portfolio of UK, European and Australian
public infrastructure assets as well as additional funding for its projected
investment pipeline.
An application has been made for the C Shares to be admitted to the Official
List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the main market for listed
securities of the London Stock Exchange.
Babcock & Brown Ltd will hold 7 million C Shares after the Issue together with
25 million Ordinary Shares in BBPP, maintaining its overall interest of 8.33%, a
position it has held since the Initial Public Offer in November 2006.
UBS Investment Bank acted as Sponsor, Global Coordinator and Book Runner.
UBS Investment Bank and Macquarie Capital (Europe) Limited acted as Joint Lead
Managers.
