Intertek announces the death of Ross Sayers, Non-Executive Director

It is with great regret that Intertek has to announce that Mr. Ross Sayers,
Non-Executive Director of Intertek Group plc, died suddenly on 25 November 2005.

Ross Sayers had been a Non-Executive member of the Intertek board since May
2002. His committed contribution to the Company will be sorely missed. The
Intertek board, and staff who knew Ross, would like to express their sympathy
and condolences' to his family.
