At the Extraordinary  General Meetings of both Ordinary Shareholders and
Warrantholders  held today the resolutions proposed to shareholders to give
the Company authority to purchase its own shares were duly passed. Application
has been made to the Court to approve a reduction of the share premium
account.  It is expected that the authority to purchase shares will first
become capable of exercise on 8th September 1999.
