As part of the dual listed company structure, Investec plc and Investec Limited
notify both the London Stock Exchange and the JSE Limited of matters which are
required to be disclosed under the Disclosure and Listing Rules of the United
Kingdom Listing Authority (the 'UKLA') and/or the JSE Listing Requirements.


Accordingly, we advise of the following:


                       ADDITIONAL LISTINGS - INVESTEC PLC


Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for an additional listing of 2,613,835 Investec plc Ordinary Shares of
GBP0.0002 each (the 'New Ordinary Shares') to trade on the London Stock Exchange
and to be admitted to the Official List upon issuance. The shares will rank pari
passu with the existing issued shares of the Company.


The additional listing is pursuant to awards made under the Investec plc Jersey
No.1 Trust.


At the same time, pursuant to the dual listed company structure, Investec plc
applied to the JSE Limited for the admission to trading of the New Ordinary
Shares.


It is expected that trading in the New Ordinary Shares will commence on the 22nd
February 2007.
