Admission of non-redeemable, non-cumulative, non-participating preference shares
to the International Trade Bulletin Board

Investec Plc today announces that application has been made to the London Stock
Exchange for all of its 15,081,149 non-redeemable, non-cumulative,
non-participating preference shares currently in issue (ISIN: GB00B19RX541), to
be admitted to trading on the International Trade Bulletin Board of the London
Stock Exchange with effect from 8.00am on 12 July 2007.
