Camco further expands operations in North America
Camco International Limited ('Camco'), a leading climate change business in the
growing carbon and sustainable development markets, is pleased to announce the
continued expansion of its carbon services in North America and the appointment
of one of its senior professionals to the Environmental Protection Agency's
(EPA) Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities Advisory Committee.
'These are prime examples of our expanding operations in the North American
market, which is one of the main growth markets for carbon-related services,'
said Jeff Kenna, Chief Executive Officer of Camco.
To complement the full range of carbon-related services already provided in
North America, Camco recently launched carbon footprinting services out of New
York. The Group now has carbon market professionals working from six North
American locations (two offices in Colorado plus representatives in North
Carolina, Massachusetts, Virginia, and New York) and across a number of sectors
including agriculture, power, transportation, oil and gas, heavy industry and
land use / forestry.
The Company's leading position in North America's emerging carbon market is
underlined by the appointment of Garth Boyd to the EPA's newly established Farm,
Ranch and Rural Communities Advisory Committee. Camco is the only global climate
change company to be represented on the committee, reflecting Camco's extensive
work with businesses in the agricultural sector to identify emission reduction
projects. Mr Boyd was selected from a pool of more than 200 applications.
The committee is an important part of the EPA's ongoing effort to strengthen
relations with the agriculture community. It will advise the administrator on
environmental policy issues impacting farms, ranches, and rural communities.
