                         Appointment of finance director

The board of iomart Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard
Strachan Logan as executive finance director with effect from 10 July 2006.

Richard Logan, B.Acc., C.A., brings a rich experience of the software industry
and of mass customer systems, very relevant to the company's requirements.
Having been a treasurer, finance director and commercial director and architect
of a management buy-out, he brings a diverse range of skills to the company.

Chairman Nick Kuenssberg said: 'We are delighted that Richard is joining us and
look forward to his contribution at a key stage of the company's development.'

The directorships held by Richard (aged 48) now and over the five years
preceding the date of appointment are as follows:

Current:  ePOINT Group Limited, ePOINT Technology Limited and ePOINT Limited.
Previous: The Interactive University, TelesensKSCL (Holdings) Limited,
          TelesensKSCL Limited, TelesensKSCL AG, TelesensKSCL Gmbh, SBK Software 
          Gmbh and TelesensKSCL SA. Supervisory board member of Nexnet Gmbh.

Richard was a director of TelesensKSCL (Holdings) Limited and TelesensKSCL
Limited when they went into receivership in 2002, and of TelesensKSCL AG,
TelesensKSCL GmbH and SBK Software GmbH when they became insolvent in 2002.

As at the date of this announcement, Richard has no interest in the ordinary
shares of the Company.

There are no other matters which are required to be announced as required under
paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
