                    NOTIFICATION OF SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDING


The Company received notification on 28 July 2006 from Merrill Lynch Investment
Managers Limited, that following a purchase of 393,614 ordinary shares of 1p
each on 25 July 2006, BNYTC as Trustee of MLIT UK Smaller Companies Fund has a
non-beneficial interest in 2,522,748 ordinary shares in the Company, equivalent
to 3.24 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.


The Company also received notification on 28 July that Merrill Lynch Investment
Managers has an interest in a total of 8,355,310 ordinary shares in the Company
equivalent to 10.73 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital. The
interest is registered as follows:
