                               Additional Listing


The issuer advises that the following replaces the Additional Listing
announcement released on 19 July at15:07 under RNS number 8913Y.


In paragraph 1 the first line should read 'Application has today been made to
the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for 250,000 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') to be admitted to the
Official List' and not 25,000 as stated. All other details remain unchanged and
the full amended text appears below:


Application has today been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for 250,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary
Shares') to be admitted to the Official List. The Ordinary Shares are being
issued to the IQE plc General Employee Benefit Trust established for non-UK
approved employee benefit schemes. Admission is expected to become effective on
24 July 2002.
