                                Additional Listing

The issuer has advised that the following amendment has been made to the
Additional Listing announcement made on 28 June at 10.12am.

In the second paragraph it states 'is expected to become effective on 1 July
2005' and not '1 August' as previously stated.

                                Additional Listing

Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange for 8,917 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') to be admitted to trading
on AIM. These Ordinary Shares are being issued pursuant to the exercise of share
options under the IQE Employee Share Option Scheme.

Admission of these Ordinary Shares is expected to become effective on 1 July
2005.
