                               Additional Listing

Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange for 51,012 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') to be admitted to trading
on AIM. The Ordinary Shares are being issued pursuant to the exercise of share
options by employees under the IQE Group Share Option Scheme. 45,972 of these
Ordinary Shares are issued at a price of 6.6p per share and 5,040 at 9.14p per
share.

Admission of these Ordinary Shares is expected to become effective on 4 June
2007.

Following this issue the total number of ordinary shares of 1p in issue is
430,762,168.
