                       Notification of Preliminary Results


IQE plc, a leading global outsource supplier of customised wafers to the
semiconductor industry, will be announcing its Preliminary Results for the year
ended 31 December 2005 on 22nd March 2006.

A meeting for analysts will be held at 09.30 am at the offices of Buchanan
