Irish Continental Group plc ("ICG")
Directorate Change: Retirement of Director
19 February 2015
ICG announces that Garry O'Dea, Finance Director, will retire from ICG at the end of May having reached his normal retirement age of 60.
Garry, who trained as an accountant at KPMG, joined ICG in 1988 from CRH plc and was appointed to the Board of ICG in the same year.
Eamonn Rothwell, CEO of ICG commented.
"Garry has made a unique contribution to the development of ICG during his 27 years with the company. Since 1988 the business has grown from a small base to its current status as the leading shipping company between Ireland and the UK and Ireland and Continental Europe. The Board acknowledges the quality and depth of Garry's contribution to the growth and financial strength of the Group over his tenure. We all wish Garry our very best wishes for the future".
We are very fortunate that Garry has during his tenure developed a first class senior management team which will greatly smooth the transition (via internal promotion) which will be announced later this morning.
