Following the announcement today of the result of the Tender Offer, Irish Continental Group plc confirms that as of 5 October 2012:

Irish Continental Group plc.'s total issued share capital consists of 18,342,189 ICG Units. There are no shares held in treasury.

The above figure of 18,342,189 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of Irish Continental Group plc under the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007 and the Rules of both the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority and the UK Financial Services Authority.
