The Board of InterX plc (the 'Company') announces that Mike Shinya, a
non-executive director of the Company, purchased 4,390 ordinary 5p shares in
the Company at a price of 558p per share on 10 January 2001.  Following this
purchase, Mike Shinya holds a total of 4,390 shares in the Company,
representing 0.01 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
