                     RESULT OF PLACING & OPEN OFFER

InterX  plc  announces  that 4,362 shares were taken  up  by  Qualifying
Shareholders   out   of  a  maximum  of  1,596,235   shares   available.
Accordingly,  of  the  balance of 1,591,873  shares  remaining,  683,144
shares  were  placed  firm with institutions by Charterhouse  Securities
Limited  on  10  March  2000  and 908,729  have  been  placed  with  the
underwriters of the issue.
