('InterX' or 'the Company')
Appointment of Rob Wirszcz as Chief Executive of IT Network
(www.itnetwork.com)
The Board of InterX announces the appointment of Robert
Wirszycz as Chief Executive of the Company's wholly owned
subsidiary, IT Network Limited ('IT Network'), with effect
from 6 March 2000.
Robert Wirszycz joined Electronic Data Systems Corp ('EDS') in
March 1998 where, as Director of Global Alliances, he had
specific responsibility for identifying and implementing
strategic alliances in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Listed on the New York and London stock exchanges, EDS is
capitalised at over US$34 billion. EDS was founded in 1962,
is now the world's largest pure computer services company and
is widely regarded as a leader in the information and
technology field.
Before joining EDS in March 1998, Robert was Director General
of the CSSA (Computing Services & Software Association).
Commenting on the appointment, James Wickes, Chief Executive
of InterX, said:
'Robert has over 12 years' experience in the international IT
industry. His understanding of the needs of professional IT
users, combined with his knowledge of the global IT vendor and
reseller community, is unparalleled and will be invaluable to
IT Network as we accelerate the roll-out of the service
internationally.
'I am flattered that an individual of Robert's calibre,
experience and corporate pedigree has chosen to join our
relatively young venture. Robert will be instrumental in
forging strategic relationships with a number of partners as
IT Network begins to expand in the dynamic world of e-commerce-
enabled technology companies.'
