ITIS Holdings plc ('ITIS' or the 'Company')
AGM Statement
At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held at 10.00 a.m. on 10 September
2003 all the resolutions proposed were duly passed by shareholders.
Sir Trevor Chinn, Chairman of ITIS, made the following statement to the meeting:
'The Company's key objectives are to increase revenues and develop our
relationships with existing vehicle manufacturer customers whilst seeking new
customers and markets for our services whilst carefully controlling costs. We
continue to make good progress in achieving these aims.
There are now established markets for our services and the Group has a growing
reputation for innovation and delivery on which we intend to capitalise in the
future.
Our data is now recognised as the most authoritative source of real-time and
historic traffic information and we are attracting increasing levels of interest
for its supply from both the public and the private sector. For example, our
recent appointment by the Highways Agency to supply information for network
management purposes and our relationships with Transport for London and a number
of local authorities is indicative of encouraging levels of interest being shown
by both central and local government
Our national telephone traffic service marketed as AA Roadwatch is delivering
strong revenues and offers significant growth potential delivered via the 2222
number on the Vodafone network and 401100 across all other cellular networks.
The company has also signed distribution agreements with 3 and Vodafone Live!.
In December 2002 we were awarded an extension to our RDS-TMC broadcasting
licence by The Radio Authority, securing our position as the sole supplier in
the UK of traffic information using this industry standard until 2012. Vehicle
manufacturers are introducing RDS-TMC as standard on vehicles with satellite
navigation. Customers include BMW, Ford Motor Company, Toyota, Saab, Subaru
Europe and virtually all aftermarket satellite navigation manufacturers.
The NavTrak product continues to be recognised by vehicle manufacturers as a
premium security system and customers now include BMW, Bentley, Ferrari, Land
Rover and Maserati. As with any product that is sold as an accessory in the
aftermarket, we are reliant on car dealerships selling NavTrak on our behalf and
sales have improved as a result of these manufacturer endorsements.
The ITIS directors are satisfied with the financial performance of the Group.
Our cash balances remain strong and with the Company's current predictions of
growing revenues and further cost reductions, we are confident that ITIS has
sufficient cash to develop the business through to profitability and positive
cash flows.'
