NAVTRAK TO PROVIDE STOLEN VEHICLE TRACKING TO BENTLEY MOTORS
NavTrak has been appointed by Bentley Motors as the only approved vehicle
tracking system for the new Bentley Continental GT.
The NavTrak 'Automatic Driver Recognition' System (ADR), which includes European
cover in 23 countries, will be available immediately for all Bentley Continental
GT customers. The NavTrak system will also be the only approved stolen vehicle
tracking system on other models by Bentley Mulliner, the specialist coach
building division of Bentley Motors.
Vehicle tracking devices have been seen as a key tool in the recovery of stolen
vehicles, but their use can be limited if the vehicle is stolen with the keys.
NavTrak offers a solution to this problem with its unique ADR system, which has
the ability to recognise when a car is taken by an unauthorised person.
ADR works by the driver carrying a small, wallet-sized ADR card. If the vehicle
is moved without the card present, a silent alert is sent to NavTrak's control
centre, which immediately pinpoints the car's location and contacts the owner to
confirm whether or not the vehicle is moving illegally. Should this be the case,
NavTrak continues to track the stolen vehicle, using GPS and GSM technology to
aid a quick recovery through established procedures with local police forces.
Richard Gordon, Regional Director of Bentley Motors Limited, commented: 'After
competitive consideration Bentley Motors have selected NavTrak as the only
system that best fits Bentley Continental drivers needs with the unique ADR
system and stolen vehicle tracking across 23 European countries.'
Stuart Marks, Chief Executive of ITIS Holdings Plc, commented: 'Bentley Motors
recognise that their customers require the most reliable and effective vehicle
tracking and recovery service. Should a thief manage to gain hold of a car's
keys, there is little the owner can do to prevent its theft, which is why the
immediate alert provided by NavTrak ADR, together with the comprehensive
tracking and recovery service across Europe, is essential to maximise the
chances of recovering the vehicle, quickly and intact.'
