T-MOBILE SELECTS ITIS TO PROVIDE 2020 TRAFFIC INFORMATION SERVICE
ITIS Holdings plc (ITIS) today announces that T-Mobile, the UK mobile phone
network, has signed an agreement for the provision of traffic information on its
2020 service. ITIS will provide T-Mobile with a completely hosted solution using
the IVR platform acquired from the AA last year. Callers will receive up to
the minute traffic information combining ITIS's unique Floating Vehicle Data
incident detection and delay data with AA Roadwatch journalistic content.
The agreement is for a minimum 12-month period but both parties anticipate a
long term relationship and ITIS will work closely with T-Mobile to enhance and
develop the current voice service. Both parties will also explore opportunities
for delivering complementary data products that might ultimately provide traffic
and routing content via SMS, PDAs and smart phones.
T-Mobile will promote the service to its 10 million customers in the UK and ITIS
anticipate that the contract will enhance revenue from the outset.
Stuart Marks, Chief Executive of ITIS Holdings plc commented: 'We are delighted
that T-Mobile has chosen to work with ITIS and we are confident that we will
deliver accurate and timely traffic information to its customers.'
