Share Price Movement

ITIS Holdings PLC 25 February 2004 25 February 2004 ITIS Holdings plc Share price movement The Directors of ITIS Holdings plc ('ITIS') note the recent sharp movement in the ITIS share price which they believe to be the result of the circulation of an Executive Summary of a report commissioned by Trafficmaster plc ('Trafficmaster') and written by the Ian Catling Consultancy. The Directors believe the methodology and conclusions of the report to be fundamentally flawed and that as a result it does not provide an accurate picture of the traffic information services provided by ITIS. In particular the report did not review the reliability of ITIS's in-car service, RDS-TMC, which is ITIS's core automotive business. The Directors of ITIS are taking urgent legal advice about this matter. Since flotation in October 2000, ITIS has developed an outstanding reputation for high quality real time and historic information and has developed its Floating Vehicle Data System ('FVDS') to become the largest commercial application of this technology in the world. As a result of this achievement, ITIS has continued to win significant contracts and form partnerships with some of the UK's largest organisations including the Automobile Association, BMW, Toyota, the Ford Motor Company and Vodafone. As recently as 9th February 2004, ITIS was awarded a £3.25m, three year contract by the Department for Transport ('DfT'). This contract was awarded after an extensive feasibility study was carried out on behalf of the DfT by consultants Mouchel Parkman and academics for the Centre for Transport Studies at Imperial College London. Commenting on the share price movement, Stuart Marks, Chief Executive, ITIS plc, said: 'Our commercial success and customer relationships speak for themselves and we remain totally committed to providing our customers with the highest quality of traffic information. I deplore the publication of a report whose methodology and conclusions we believe to be flawed and we will take all actions necessary to protect the interests of the company.' - Ends - Contacts: ITIS Holdings PLC Stuart Marks, Chief Executive Tel: +44 (0)161 929 5788 Citigate Dewe Rogerson Ged Brumby Tel: +44 (0)20 7282 2996 This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange
