I2S PLC 23 March 2000 I2s plc ('i2s' or the 'Company') Initial Investments made Result of Rights Issue I2s plc (formerly Tarpan plc), the internet, technology and media investment company, today announced its first three investments totalling £1.8 million - Arnhold Holdings, Eighteen Global Inc. and Sit-up.com. - Arnhold Holdings Limited, in which i2s will be a strategic investor of US $0.5m at $1 per share, is the US $100m Hong Kong listed technology investment fund established by Hutchison Whampoa's ex-Chief Executive Simon Murray. - Eighteen Global Inc., in which i2s has taken a US $1m stake, is the on- line service for golfers. Partnering with clubs and pros worldwide, services include on-line shopping, tee-booking and golfing news. The company, headquartered in Dallas, is aiming for a flotation in Q3 2000 and launches its UK web site in April 2000. Its launch product, described as 'QXL meets QVC meets Big Breakfast' is designed for delivery via internet, iDTV, terrestrial TV and WAP. An IPO is currently planned for Autumn 2000. (www.sit-up.com) The 5 for 2 rights issue by the Company, announced on 3 February 2000, has now closed and acceptances have been received in respect of 4,949,245 shares representing 93.38 per cent. of the total number of Rights Shares. Accordingly, Peel Hunt plc will use its reasonable endeavours to place the 350,755 Rights Shares not taken up.
