ITV announces that Sir James Crosby is to be appointed as Senior Independent
Director and Chairman of the Nomination Committee of the Board.

Sir George Russell, Deputy Chairman, said:

'I am very pleased that James has accepted the appointment as our Senior
Independent Director and I look forward to working with him on the Nomination
Committee.'

Sir James Crosby was appointed to the Board of ITV plc on 3 December 2003. He is
also a Non-executive Director of The Financial Services Authority, the Chair of
the Public Private Forum on Identity Management and a Fellow of the Faculty of
Actuaries, and was formerly Chief Executive of HBOS Plc.
