                           Transaction in own shares

Jarvis Securities Plc announces that the Company purchased 5,000 of its ordinary
shares at 79.5p on 28 December 2005, 5000 at 79.5p and 5000 at 75.5p on 29
December 2005 for cancellation. Following these transactions and the subsequent
cancellation the total number of ordinary shares in issue is 11,460,000.
