                      ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING STATEMENT

                           
At the Annual General Meeting held earlier today all the Resolutions were duly
passed.

Commenting on current trading, the Chairman, Philip Meeson, said: 'In my
Chairman's Statement of 21 June I stated that, despite the present economic
climate being less buoyant than had been experienced over recent years, the
current year's trading had commenced satisfactorily.  This trend has continued
and trading is currently in line with budget.  Despite what are obviously
challenging economic conditions, we continue to be cautiously optimistic.'
